Tartan and Leather Button Brooches and Rings. #WIP

A little look at what is going on behind the scenes today- some work in progress! This is something I've wanted to try for a while- combining off-cuts of traditional Scottish wool Tartan with stitched leather pieces to make Button Brooches and Rings. I'm adding a Rose Gold coloured Swarovski Crystal to them too.

I'll be adding these to the Etsy Shop soon (still practicing with my camera) so I'll be sure to show you when they are all finished!

I've just added this Green/Brown/Blue Harris Tweed Button Ring to my Etsy Shop! Embellished with upcycled fabric pieces for a pop of colour and a perfect way to wear the traditional Harris Tweed fabric all year round. The Silver Plated ring back is adjustable to fit most sizes.

Louise Dawson Design Etsy Shop- new listings!

I've just listed a selection of new rings in my Louise Dawson Design Etsy shop! 

Something super bright for Summer, these handmade statement rings are inspired by all things Aztec and Carnival and are handmade from recycled scraps of fabric I have dyed vivid pink and neon yellow using eco friendly inks. I then machine stitched the pieces together and adorned with hand embroidery, beads and sequins. They are very quirky and fun and I hope they can bring some sunshine whatever the weather! 

Don't forget, all of my jewellery arrives in a beautifully hand branded gift box too, making them the ideal gift.
